The Beaver colony is waiting for you!
The international Beaver colony started in 2013 and has proved to be a great success for the littlest scouts in Hilversum. A Beaver colony is made up of scouts aged 5 to 8 years old. They belong to the first and youngest section in the scouting family. Young people can join Beaver Scouts after their 5th birthday. Easily recognised by their distinctive red shirts, Beaver Scouts enjoy making friends, playing games, going on visits and helping others. They meet once a week in a Beaver Scout colony. Some Beaver Scout colonies also organise sleepovers. These are often the first time a young person spends a night away from home. They take place in suitable buildings, often scout centres. Beavers move up to the next section, Cub Scouts, shortly after their 8th birthday. There are only a few places left. So be an eager beaver and sign up!
Note that we can always do with help from parents who can be regular helpers or participate regularly on a roster basis (approximately once every 8 weeks).
A Beaver has fun, works hard and helps family and friends.
I promise to love the country and to help take care of the world.
